An outdoor wedding at Atlanta Hilton Marietta Resort
The Atlanta Hilton-Marietta resort, Ashley Baber Weddings, Event Rentals Unlimited and Sugarplum Visions helped to save the day yesterday. Tornado Warning Sirens and threats of lightening and thunderstorms could not stop the wedding of Cori and Brett at the Brumby Gardens yesterday.
And I was so excited to be able to be working with e team of vendors who just wanted to make the day memorable despite the weather. The staff of Event Rentals need to be applauded as they got the call to construct a huge tent in the gardens at 11am and had the tent completely installed by around 4p.
We moved the wedding site from the Topiary to the Perennial garden due to water accumulation and recreated the design in the round with the bride and groom saying their vows at the romantic water fountain. And it would be difficult to guess that it was not planned.
I was excited to work with Cori as she was an event planner and I knew her 'ducks were nicely lined up in a row" . She had a monogram theme which I loved and we ran with it, with a monogram on the gate, the aisle, every table setting, the candy buffet, the stationary. I heard many of the guests commenting and lots of "Wows"
She was 'out of the box' and went with my idea for my stiletto of flora in the girls powder room and a masculine green goddess calla lily design in a beer stein of river rock in the boys rest room.
Her colors were persimon, fresh green and shades of yellow.
