Shannons wedding at Emory Conference Center.

Another of my favorite brides, Shannon, an elementary school teacher, married Josh yesterday at Emory Conference CTR. Shannon, voted 'Best voice of all time' (by me) was to be married amongst the beautiful yellow and purple spring blossoms and budding trees of the courtyard, but God had another weather plan. So we went into second gear, transforming the Overlook into a romantic garden room of candelight and an ivy covered chocolate Florentine archway.
Of course, Shannon like the vast majority of my brides, had discriminating taste and selected the bright and happy palette of jewel toned flowers which added brightness, color and joy to what could have been a dreary evening.
She appropriately selected early spring blooms of tulips, anemonies, lilacs, flowering twigs, lisianthus, green hydrangea, stock and waxflower and went with the high /low look for the reception. The towering trumpets of yellow forsythia atop beds of river rock, flanked by stemmed compotes of colorful flowers added an element of drama to the ballroom.
We should get some great pictures from her photographer Michael Pugh of www.michaelpughphotography.com soon.
In the meantime , enjoy some shots from my cannon point and shoot.LOL
