The Georgia Bridal Show yesterday was a blast. We saw several hundred excited brides, many getting married within the next 9 months. We displayed a round chuppah of bone white satin fabrics with citrus roses, green hydrangea and cranberry berries. Hundreds of crystals swagged around the chuppah along with yards and yards of swagging fabrics. We also displayed a 25 branch wrought iron tree with 25 hanging petaloons holding 25 hanging green candles. Green apples added a pop of color against the citrus colored flora.
The bouquets were a hit with many exciting elements featured including high quality crystals, square crystals, gold wiring, broaches, vintage wraps, feathers and exotic blooms like gloriosas, pincushion proteas, agapanthus, ladyslipper orchids, sweetpea and fiddle ferns.
We spoke with many enthusiastic brides eager to plan their wedding. The most common question was "What colors are in this year". The in color this year in 'citrus'. There is also a big trend towards romantic pinks.
What's hot? Feathers. Colored feathers anywhere are 'big'
How about themes? Vintage is 'in'. Many brides are incorporating the 'something old' theme into their wedding and the use of elegant English lace accents, pearls and shades of ivories, champagnes and rums are becoming just as popular as the use of crystals and gems.
Candles have always been a necessary accessory, but loads of them, and floating candles, sunken flowers with floating candles, pillar candles, cylindered candles, colored candles and underwater/sunken candlighting and candelabras.
Lighting is so important to set the tone. Many brides are now opting for amber lighting, red lighting, blue lighting.... whatever it takes to add the ultimate "Wow". Our lighting designers will visit your site and do a complete wakthru with you to ensure that every focal point is accentuated with a glorious hue of romantic lighting. Lighting is a small investment with a large payoff.

More to come!
